Natalia’s story
My name is Natalia, and I am from Colombia, South America. In 2017, I embarked on an incredible journey, moving to Australia with a dream to practice veterinary medicine. With determination and perseverance, I successfully passed the Australasian Veterinary Examination (AVE) in 2022. Today, I proudly work as a small animal veterinarian in suburban Sydney. I hope that my story of hard work and dedication will inspire other overseas-trained vets to follow their dreams. Working as a veterinarian in Australia is the greatest gift I’ve given to myself! Every day, I am grateful for the trust and love my clients show when they bring their beloved pets to me. When I first arrived in Australia, I came on a student visa, knowing no one, with limited English skills, and very little money. Before landing my first job as a vet nurse, I worked as a waitress, babysitter, cleaner, and barista. Each of these roles taught me resilience and brought me closer to my dream. My mission now is to support and guide overseas veterinarians like you in passing the AVE exam. I'm here to help make your journey smoother and ensure you feel supported every step of the way. Together, we can achieve your dreams and make a difference in the lives of countless animals and their families.
Antonella’s Story
My name is Antonella, and I’m a veterinarian originally from Argentina, now calling Australia home. After graduating in 2017, I embarked on a new adventure traveling with a working-holiday visa to Australia in 2018. My first job in this new country was working as a stablehand in a racecourse, then transitioning to a cleaner in a human hospital, and later working in a horse breeding farms. After passing the MCQ, I applied to a veterinary limited license in NSW, and I started a year-long rotating internship in an equine hospital. Now I am working with small animals. Successfully passing the Australasian Veterinary Examination (AVE) was a challenging yet rewarding journey, and allowed me to blend my passion for veterinary medicine with a love for teaching and mentoring. My mission is to support and guide overseas veterinarians through the AVE process, sharing not only the knowledge I’ve gained but also tips and insights I wish I had known before starting this journey. I'm here to help make your pathway smoother and ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
